THE SYSTEM HAVING DIFFERENT LAYERS, WHICH ARE AS FOLLOWS;
- Spray Polyurethane Foam: Upon completion of cleaning and overspray protection, the spray application of the 1st layer shall commence, the combination of Polyol & MDI sprayed onto the roof slab including up-stands using combination spray equipment. The spray on liquid state applied on high pressure, penetrate into hairline cracks and pin holes on the roof slab. In less than a minute it expands 30 times to its volume and solidifies, thereby sealing the entire slab. The foam creates an impermeable waterproofing layer and shall be applied multiple layers to reach the required insulation to the roof slab.
- UV Protection Coating: On completion of Polyurethane foam application, acrylic liquid U.V. protection coating shall be applied over entire foam to protect it from UV rays till the water test procedure is completed.
- Geotextile Separation Layer: Upon successful completion of flood test, water shall be removed and geo-textile membrane shall be laid as a protection layer over the entire roof area and will do the paneling work using joint filler board and cementitious adhesive mortar to attain the desired slope levels prior to commencement of concrete screed work.
- Screed Concrete : The screed concrete of 10mm aggregate, fiber mixed shall be laid in panels. Minimum thickness of the screed will be 45mm and average thickness will be 80mm. The screed will be finished manually by trained masons and cured as per standard procedures. The screed is added with plasticizers and micro fibers to avoid crack.
- Angle Fillet and Joint Sealants: Angle fillets to protect the skirting edges of the PU foam, shall be done after application of bonding agent to the corners of size 100 X 100 mm. Once the screed completely cured, all construction joints shall be opened and treated using heavy duty Polyurethane sealant and backing rod for accommodating movement of the concrete during expansion and contraction.
- Final Coat: Once sealant applied is completely cured, acrylic coating shall be applied over entire screed including up-stands to foam a uniform coating of maximum thickness 1000 microns. This coating provide aesthetic look to the roof.
