Liquid Water Proofing For Wet Area

Proposed Liquid Waterproofing For Wet Areas Shall Include Following Materials And Works To Be Supplied And Installed By Shelter Care Technical Services Llc With A Guarantee For 10 Years.

1. Prior to the application, floor and skirting area (+100mm to FFL) shall be plaster finished smoothly by the main contractor and minimum 50mm X 50mm sized corner fillet should be fixed all around the corners of wall, vertical up-stands and around the sleeves to apply the waterproof coating.
2. The area shall be inspected by the waterproofing specialist from SHELTER CARE Technical Services LLC and confirm acceptance for application waterproof coating.
3. Clean the surface using smooth broom brush to make sure the substrate is free of dust and debris.
4. Supply and brush apply the liquid waterproof coating prime layer and second layer as per the time allowance recommended by manufacturer, over the slab surface, skirting, up-stands and sleeves to the desired height level (FFL +100mm recommended).
5. Keep the surface for curing completely for 48 hours without any trafficking over the coating applied.
6. Flood test the area by keeping water for a period of time (24 Hrs. minimum).
7. Final inspection shall be carried out and SHELTER CARE Technical Services LLC shall issue the GUARANTEE FOR 10 YEARS against leakage.
8. After successful flood test, the main contractor should protect the waterproofing layer by laying Polythene sheet 1000 gauge and screed or sand-cement bedding over it.
